Matthew 5:3
“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- We need you more today than yesterday
- We need you everyday of our lives
- Apart from you Jesus we can do nothing
- You are our greatest desire Lord
- Mature us in this hunger and thirst for you Jesus
- Deepen us in humility so as we only rely upon you in everything
Colossians 2:6-7
6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
- That the believers in PNG will be rooted and built up in you Jesus
- That they will be taught and overflow with thankfulness
- That they will have a thankful heart in everything
- That blessed be your Holy name;in hardship and in good times
- Let them always seek the lower place always;so that Christ name may be glorified
- We pray that you reveal yourself to them in a mighty way
- Purify your church in this country in Jesus name
23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
- That the believers will be embracing the biblical standards of discipleship
- That they will learn to take their cross daily and to follow you
5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
- Teach them to be victorious in temptations in everything
- We pray that you teach them to live according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh
- That their mind will be governed by the Spirit and not by the flesh
- We pray that the leaders will be mature as a they follow you Jesus
- That the church will be more blessed to give than to receive we pray
- Give the church your call and the vision of the great commission
- We pray that you raise up solid sending structures in PNG
- We pray that you give them wisdom and knowledge to be able to come up with this great commission structures we pray
20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power
- That the power of God will move in this region in a mighty way
- That the quality of the message bearers you are raising will be the ones who are watchful
- That their identity will be on you alone and not in anything that they are
- That they will desire to imitate Christ just as others imitate them
- That they will realize it is not by power nor by might but by their Spirit says the Lord
- May your spirit move them in obedience to your calling we pray
- Lord we thank you for what you are doing among these unreached people groups
- Lord may you make your name to be lifted up higher and higher in Jesus name
- We pray that you are going to break off all the foundations of traditional religions
- We declare that the remaining tribes will drink you blood and they will eat your flesh;because your word says that He that eateth my flesh and drinks my blood will live
