Intro: Psalm 91: 1-6

• Thank You God for keeping and protecting us in Your shelter and Shadow. Thank You for being our Fortress and Refuge. Thank You for Your deliverance in all things and at all times.
  UNITED STATES

ABANDONED DEVOTION : Issues of notional Christianity and syncretism.

• For a re-connection between Christians’ lifestyle and Biblical standards.
• Concerning syncretism – a mixing of Christianity with hyper individualism, materialism, moral compromise and national pride.
• For the ability to separate the scriptural standards from cultural standards, and uphold scripture in its pure and spiritual form.
• For Christians to recapture the sense of being set apart as holy unto the Lord, and for repentance from carnality.
• For the church to turn away from conformity and to be transformed by the renewal of the mind.

SPIRITUAL AWAKENING : Conviction of sin, spread of pockets of revival and return to ancient landmarks (Proverbs 22:28).

• For repentance and a return to the first love.
• For God to address issues of the young generation – joblessness, frustrations etc…
• Against the promulgation of anti-Christian laws that attempt to violate God’s name and authority; that show defiance to Him.
• For the coming elections in November. For prayer campaigns and need for God’s directions. That God Himself will establish a government according to His own heart through this election; that His will be done unhindered.
• 2Chronicles 7:14. For repentance in the church at this critical time. For a changing of heart and a restoration of the nation.
• For God to give authority to His Word and remove compromise and intellectualism. For depth of scriptural knowledge, unquestioned embracing of biblical lifestyle not based on emotions.

• For humility to accept emerging church in outside world as fellows and to keep responsibility as a global player. To share the mission task rather than pass it on.

• For a turning away from wrong view of success as wealth and reputation. To see greed and covetousness as the sin it is. For a conviction leading back to the true standard faithful teaching of the Word of God.
  For the church to come out of nominalism and be set ablaze for Christ. 

MESSAGE BEARERS: For still more message bearers coming out of the US.

• For quality message bearers and not mere job seekers. People of wisdom, understanding and knowledge.
• For more long term message bearers; shifting focus from short term.
• For a renewed emphasis on a right teaching on missions in churches, and campuses as the reason for the church’s very existence.
• That the 9/11 inspired perception of Islam will not hinder, but rather catalyze outreach to the Muslim world.

UNREACHED CITY: Doha (QATAR). 100%  Muslim. Good economy. For doors to be opened for CPM, tent- makers, and the kingdom of God to be established there.

• Thank God for the blessings in this city. For message bearers to be raised in favor of this city, for mercy and grace to be extended to the people of the city.
• For Divine revelation and the establishment of the kingdom of God in the city, and a way to bring CPM into it.
• For foreigners to be a demonstration of salt and light, showing the lifestyle of a city set on a hill.
• For the emerging generation to seek after eternal things and to thirst and hunger for God in spite of the wealth at their disposal. For many ways to open towards Christ.

CONCLUSION: Thank you Lord for bringing restoration to these places and people. Let these prayers to be only the beginning. For the power of God will back these prayers. We pray that we may find our sustenance in God and to walk worthy of our calling.
